Potatoes Dauphinoise Recipe | Waitrose & Partners

Julius Roberts on Instagram: "I’ve got a great series of recipes for the perfect easter lunch in the @waitrose food magazine this month. A zingy crab and fennel salad. A Mallorcan inspired dish of slow cooked lamb braised with carrots, herbs, garlic and beer which is such a good replacement for chicken stock. Slow cooked in the oven for hours. A classic dauphinoise with herbs, nutmeg and garlic. And a beautiful dish of purple sprouting broccoli gently cooked until just between tender and falling apart then tossed with slow cooked shallots, anchovy, garlic and lemon. Great as a side, but also incredible as pasta sauce. And lastly the rhubarb and custard tart from book which is such a winner. This is a simple go-to family meal, but made small they’re good with drinks.
Makes about 15 large.

3 eggs, beaten
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup thinly sliced coriander stalks and leaves
1 small red onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons cumin seeds, dry fried over moderate heat until fragrant and slightly darkened in colour then cooled
2 x 400g cans whole kernel corn, well drained
150g feta, crumbled
vegetable oil for frying
lime wedges, tomato wedges, sliced avocado, extra coriander sprigs
also very good with your favourite hot sauce

Preheat the oven to 200°C fan.
Put the eggs, flour, baking powder and milk into a mixing bowl.
Mix well.
Add the coriander, onion and cumin seeds and mix well.

them going. So that is nearly cooked. Nice rustic chunks of
potato. Look at this lovely steak. A fantastic. That's a
rib eye steak on the bone. Can you see how there's a little
excess fat around here? Just use a knife to nick a bit. You
could always use a smaller sirloin or rump or even a
cheaper cut like a skirt steak and it will taste absolutely
delicious then wh
