How I Created My Large Silk Floral Arrangement

I just love decorating my home with large silk floral arrangements and have made several large arrangements for the various seasons and holidays to decorate the right hand side of my dining room fireplace which is 41" by 48". It's a large area to cover so it requires a large floral arrangement to fill it up. Here's how I made it....

Pinecone Baskets - Now That's A Good Idea!

While shopping in the Fall over 20 years ago with hubby we happened to venture into one of those seasonal Christmas decoration shops - just to see what they had. Well, I was immediately drawn to a pine cone basket that was on the floor. It was pine cones in a large basket that was decorated with berries, ribbons, lace, and assorted dried floral. I thought it was really pretty and would make a great Christmas decoration until I looked at the price. Click the picture to see what I did.

20 Years Later and Still As Good As New!

While everyone was out fighting the Black Friday crowds I was in crafting heaven - pleasantly sprucing up the artificial Christmas wreath decorations for the front of our house. And, I have to say, I was actually reveling in the fact that after 20 years my artificial wreaths are still as good as new. I thought to myself, "Now that's a GOOD BUY." Her's why....
