Analyzing Absolute Value Graphs
To solidify understanding of domain and range, I made 4 Absolute Value graphs in Graph Free and saved them onto my computer (right click, save as). Now the fun began! Students were directed to find all of the characteristics of their graphs. When groups started getting distracted, I took it as a cue that they were done and it was time to rotate the sheets. The second group then checks the answers the first group gave and makes any necessary edits.
Math Cheat Sheets {all FREE}
Over the years, I've compiled 25 printable PDF math reference sheets in this post -- all free. Most are for algebra and algebra 2. Some have videos to go along with them, and I have been planning on making more (goals). The math cheat sheets are free because I made many of them for my own inclusion algebra 2 students who needed reminders of the steps in the different processes we were learning in class. I hope the sheets are helpful for your math students, too! More at scaffoldedmath.com
Polynomials Review Digital Math Escape Room
An engaging digital math escape room for reviewing polynomials. Students work their way through this math escape room naming polynomials, adding polynomials, subtracting polynomials, multiplying quadratic binomials, multiplying difference of squares and simplifying squared binomials. The entire math escape is contained on one Google Form with no outside links, making it super simple to send to students as an algebra review.
Fun with Quadratics
In this post, I share a bunch of printable and digital activities for teaching quadratics. It was probably my favorite unit to teach in algebra 2. I loved our quadratic word problems unit the most.
Expressions and equations
In this photo, you can see the math vocabulary for exponent, constant, coefficient, variable, term, factor expression and equation. This is one part of an algebra word wall.

Quadratic Word Problems Digital Math Escape Room
An engaging digital escape room for solving projectile motion quadratic word problems. Students must unlock 5 locks by answering questions related to the flight equations of 5 rockets. Questions are grouped 4 per puzzle, resulting in five 4-letter codes that will unlock all 5 locks. Students need to answer 20 questions to complete the escape room. Questions include: total time the in the air, time to reach maximum height, max height, height of launch platform, height at a certain time
Polynomial Long Division Cheat Sheet
Polynomial Long Division in Algebra 2 - In the example on the cheat sheet (free download at scaffoldedmath.com), students are guided through the steps needed to find the imaginary zeros of a given polynomial function using polynomial long division.

Patterns of i - Imaginary Numbers Poster
A quick reference to display during your unit on complex numbers. The poster shows the pattern imaginary number i follows when raised to exponents. It also lists additional exponents that will follow the same pattern. Directions for enlarging the poster from your home or classroom printer are linked inside. This way, you can make the poster as large as you'd like for your math classroom. Or, you can give the PDF to students as a math cheat sheet for their notebooks.
Systems of Linear Equations Digital Math Escape Room
This digital systems of equations activity covers substitution, elimination and graphing. It is a digital math escape room, super engaging for students both in your classroom and distance learning. Algebra students solve the systems of linear equations and enter 4-letter codes, unlocking each of 5 locks as they go.
Algebraic Functions Skeleton Posters
I added additional functions (and a circle) to this free set of skeleton posters.
