This presentation considers what visual ethnography means and how this definition can be stretche... more This presentation considers what visual ethnography means and how this definition can be stretched beyond mere documentary style footage and photographs. It explains why in my own research I have decided to use a number of creative exercises to allow my participants to communicate in a way that would not otherwise be possible and the benefits of this. It also explains the problems experiences when working with a scattered field and how I have overcome them.
