Santa Is Coming To Town - Simple Layout Pages

 Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving. Today I have a two page layout for you using this months Scrapbook Kit. It's now the time for Christmas and two savor those Christmas memories. So I have to simple Layouts for you. Sharing photos of my grandkids from last year. I hope you enjoy today's projects. As always I have the links throughout the blog and a video tutorial for you to enjoy.

November 2024 Scrapbook Kit

To start out I cut 3 pieces of green pattern paper at 4 1/2 x 5 3/4 inches the red cardstock is cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches these will be your photos mats. Adhere the red mat on top of the green. This layout will use two of the three photo mats.

Here is how I adhered them down for the first layout.

Next I used pieces from the punch out pages and also fussy cut some of the images out from the cut-a-part sheet.

For the second layout I placed the photo mat up in the left side of the pattern paper and again used some of the punch out pieces and pieces I fussy cut out.

Here is what the layout will look like but first we are going to glitter the beautiful chipboard angel.

Fist I place glue around the entire angel and then sprinkle the ultra fine glitter on top. Be sure to tap off the excess glitter and set aside to dry.

Once your angel is dry you can adhere her down to the pattern paper.

Here are the photos of the finished layouts with pictures of my grands.

Vintage Orchard Fall Wreath

 Hi Crafty Peeps,

I hope you all are having a great weekend. This week we introduced the New Tres Jolie Kits for October 2024. So with that being said I have a fun project for you using the October Mixed Media Kit and some of the Laser Cut Elements from the Scrapbook Kit. You are going to love this fun Fall Wreath Project that takes no time at all. Both Kits are listed below along with my video tutorial and the step by step below.

October Mixed Media Kit                                                     October Scrapbook Kit

To start with you will need any type of wreath you would like to use, I am using a grapevine wreath. We will be decorating this at the end.
First we will stain the truck with our Little Birdie alcohol inks. I used the Marine Blue. Dab some on your surface and use a cotton ball to swipe up the ink and glide this along the truck area. To get into small areas the cotton ball is hard to read use a tooth pick or wooden skewer with a bit of cotton wrapped around the top, dip in your ink and color in the small colors.
I do this process for pumpkin, squash and gnome using different colors of the alcohol inks from the Mixed Media Kit.

Next for the leaves I used the Paint Couture paint amazon from a previous kit , August Mixed Media Kit.

Here is the finished truck. For the little mustache on the gnome I used a white gel pen. I traced around the image of the gnome with a black sharpie pen. Then I added some glossy accents to the word Fall, and the pumpkins and squash. The tires are colored black using the black gesso from the Mixed Media Kit.

So this Fall Tres Jolie has some super cute chipboard pieces, here is the mushroom chipboard. For this one I colored in the acorns and the stem of the mushroom with a brown marker. for the leaves and the top of the mushroom I used the Perfect Pearls that came in the July Mixed Media Kit.
First you want to place some water down on your mat, just a a drop or two, then place a little bit of perfect pearls down on the mat. Dampen the chipboard just a little with your paint brush using water, don' t get the chipboard very wet or it will get mushy. Next place some perfect pearls on your paint brush and brush onto the damp chipboard area and this will color your chipboard. I used Perfect Pearl colors spring green brilliant yellow, and pumpkin orange.

Here is the cute little gnome that is new to the shop as well. I used my orange marker for hat, red marker for the apple and I used the paint couture amazon paint for the leaves. For the white beard I used white flock from my stash.

Here is the finished wreath. For the foliage on top of the wreath tucked under the bow I used the Laser Cut Elements from the Scrapbook Kit which features 49 and Market Vintage Orchard Collection.
Then I hot glued the truck down below, and added some leaves and flowers from my stash, lastly I glued on the chipboard mushroom and the little gnome. I did a couple of more laser cuts on top of the colorful leaves below.

I hope you enjoyed today's step by step tutorial, remember I have the video tutorial for your convenience. I really enjoyed creating this Fall Wreath using the cute wooden truck and the new mushroom and gnome that are added to the shop. I hope you got some inspiration from today's project and head over to the shop to check out the New Mixed Media Kit with the Fall Truck, you can do so many things with this truck for a really nice Fall Decor. September Mixed Media Kit

To start gesso the wings with Clear Gesso. Next place your Magicals from the Mixed Media Kit into a little tray or around your area and spritz water and mix. Then start painting the wings.

Here is the finished look of the wings I painted using the Lindy's Gang Magicals. I love how they turned out. Please view my video tutorial for more details on how I layered my colors to blend together.

Next I added some watered down white paint so the wings wouldn't look so dark. I blended in the white very lightly.

I used a canvas from my stash, and painted the edges of with the light green from the Magicals.

Next I cut a piece of pattern paper 10x10 to fit over the canvas. I did distress the edges and inked with vintage photo ink.

Next I used my glue to adhere the wings to the paper.

Here is the finished Canvas with the beautiful little fairies and all the flowers placed around the wings.
I really like how this turned out. The wings are just beautiful and look so pretty against the golden and yellow flowers along with the butterflies.

Fall House Mem-Dex Box with Harvest Mem-Dex Dividers

 Hi Everyone,

It's Deb here today with a new project using one of the many New items from the Clear Scraps store. I'm sharing the House Memry-Dex Box Holder along with the Harvest Mem-Dex Dividers. I love how using this House Mem-Dex Box can be decorated for any theme you'd like. I have the links below and throughout the step-by-step tutorial.

House Memry-Dex Box                                              Harvest Mem-Dex Dividers

When you receive your House Mem-Dex Box you will have several pieces to put together. You can use wood glue or you can use a really good adhesive glue. Place the glue on the grooves and slide the other piece in. Do this for all the pieces.

For the front of the house, I had this idea for the roof to create something like shingles so I took my scalloped punch and punched out a few strips. I started laying down the strips and I layered one underneath the one another. For the chimney I found some brick pattern paper, cut it out and adhered it down.

For the back of the house I traced it on pattern paper and cut out and adhered it on with glue.

Next I painted my fences brown and the bottom of the house brown as well.

Next I adhered all the house parts together. I really like how this house turned out.
Next we just need to decorate.

Here is a photo of the dowels placed inside of the house for the mem-dex cards.

Look at these New Mem-Dex Cards, these are the Harvest mem-dex cards, these are just fantastic.
Here I started painting the truck.

For both pumpkins from the Harvest Mem-Dex Dividers I rubbed the orange embellishment mousse from Nuvo on the front and back.

Next I took a pencil and drew lines down the pumpkins to add more shape to them. Then I took an orange gelato and created the lines a bit darker to give more definition. I filled in the stems with green Nuvo drops.

Once everything was dry I added on my stickers from the Fall paper collection I was using.

Here is the right side of the House and how I decorated it

I placed a small banner on both sides of the house stringing it across each of the gates.
I added some small flowers and other items from my stash.

Here is the front of the House and I hung a little wreath on the roof along with a "Hello Fall" sentiment. I just love how everything looked once I was done decorating it all. Decorating this house and the mem-dex cards definitely made me in a Fall mood.

I  hope you enjoyed today's step by step tutorial sharing this amazing New Wooden House memry-dex box along with the New Harvest mem-dex dividers. I had so much fun decorating both of these items and definitely would love to try out other themes using this House Memry-Dex Box.
