I live in Upstate New York, and teach physics at a university there. However, I seem to be making most of my edits in poetry. Of course I'm also interested in science and scientists, but I spend most of my days engaged with these. I tend to be a bit provincial in my choices of subjects for editing: the splendid poet Carl Dennis lives and teaches in Buffalo, New York, and Joseph Henry - in many ways the equal of Michael Faraday as a 19th Century physicist - did his most extraordinary work in Albany. For similar reasons, I have done quite a bit of work on the "Solvay Process" article - for no better reason than that the original plant in the U.S. was in Solvay, New York.
