Warning
[edit]Warning: Informing others that HersiliaAramazd has been involved in apparent canvassing on the English Wikipedia. The user is adamant about promoting supposed territory gains made by Azerbaijan, possibly at the expense of reliability.--WMrapids (talk) 14:34, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
Armenia is losing the war. This is the truth. This map is an excellent professional work. You are trying to support Armenia. Nafis Fuad Ayon (talk) 17:42, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
Reliability of liveuamap.com
[edit]Many of the sources for liveuamap.com are from social media sites (Twitter notifications) and parties involved in the conflict. There have been also been previous concerns about the accuracy of the website regarding Syria [1][2] Should the website be used for this map?--WMrapids (talk) 16:21, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- +1 In the social media sources are Azerbaijani special forces operating behind the lines. The Azerbaijani president Əliyev never, never declared the "liberation" of any village along the middle Hakari river. So this map is very incorrect at the moment. It's just like a map of Syria showing areas where Russian special forces are operating as parts of Russia or areas in Afghanistan where U.S. special forces operating as parts of the U.S.A. Əliyev and Azerbaijan never declared, what the map is showing.--77.183.143.109 17:41, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- WMrapids check out Ryan O'Farrel in the Twitter. He seems to be a reliable source. Solavirum (talk) 12:33, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Add chronolines and movements arrows
[edit]@WMrapids, Emreculha, and HersiliaAramazd: Hi, It may be helpful to add the signigicant frontlines at key dates, together with movements arrows and dates, as donne for the Raqqa campaign Yug (talk) 19:21, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Yug: ,Your opinion is good, but it is very difficult for us to find sources to get this information. The two countries constantly deny each other.--Emreculha (talk) 10:44, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
There is clairly a Tit for tat communication strategy from dominant AZ-TR to keep confusion and play a bothsideist narrative. From my experoence, i still believe approximated chronolines and movements arrow can be drawn on the basis of previous "mainly accepted" versions of the map. Yug (talk) 10:56, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Scale bar
[edit]This map needs one.
Recommend a template map for greater flexibility
[edit]I strongly recommend that interested editors create a template map to aid in tracking movements, combat, and positions. Here is an example that was continuously edited during the ISIS war in Iraq: w:Template:Iraqi insurgency detailed map. These have been used in other conflicts. -- Veggies (talk) 19:02, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

Nakhchivan
[edit]I think Nakhchivan is misspelt. It says "Nakhcivan". Someone who knows how, please fix it. 46.114.108.91 01:22, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
- Fixed.. Thanks--Emreculha (talk) 22:55, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
Liveuamap.com?
[edit]So, are we still using caucasus.liveuamap.com as a third-party source for this map or not? If we are, then we should update the map to match what is on the website. StellarHalo (talk) 17:08, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

My revert
[edit]Sorry I accidentally reverted to previous version without showing a reason. But this current map should be continued. Armenian withdrawal will be gradual. And a lot of efford was put into making of the map. You can't just disregard it. Thanks.

Map update
[edit]It seems that Yuxari Veyselli and Sushikend were captured by Azerbaijan before the November 10th agreement and will remain under its control. Please state that in the map if possible. An edit war
[edit]What's up with the edit war going on pertaining to this image? The Armenian vandals seem to be trying to colour the lands liberated by Azerbaijan's army brown. What gives? This makes no sense. Is it because brown is closer to the Armenian colour used here, red? Or because brown is associated with Hitler?--Adûnâi (talk) 21:03, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
- What are you even talking about? For your information, the one that first added that version is a Turk. Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 14:15, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
- A "Turk"! Armenian vandals? Mamma mia! Please try not to sound like any nation is "bad" when you write your opinions. (I am speaking to both of you up there.) --E4024 (talk) 14:23, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
- Isn't the simple ethnic name of the inhabitants of Turkey "Turk"? I just didn't want to say "a Turkish person". Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 14:48, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
Map colour
[edit]Someone please, change the colour of the territories which Armenia ceded back to Azerbaijan to another one. This map gives wrong impression that these lands were captured by Azerbaijani forces. There should be difference in colours. Thank you. Sincerely, Գարիկ Ավագյան (talk) 17:49, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
- I don't mind changing the colour, but I don't really think the colours are that similar? They're different enough for viewers to know the difference. And if the colour does change, please don't change it back to the ugly brown colour as before, it looks horrible. On the other hand, I do think that legend should be clearer about what was captured during war and what was not. CuriousGolden (talk) 18:09, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
- I agree that brown is misleading, however, I still hardly see the difference between 3 districts and the other ones. Sincerely, Գարիկ Ավագյան (talk) 09:09, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
- AntonSamuel, will you be able to change the colour? Sincerely, Գարիկ Ավագյան (talk) 09:10, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
- Sure, I've changed the color of the handed-over areas a bit now to make it easier to see the difference. AntonSamuel (talk) 09:40, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
