Deutsch: Westansicht des Gebäudekomplexes Akademietheaters und Konzerthauses im 3. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Landstraße.
Er wurde nach Plänen der Architekten Ludwig Baumann, Fellner und Helmer im Auftrag der 1908 gegründeten Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft von 1911 bis 1913 errichtet. Nach der Fertigstellung wurde das heutige Akademietheater als Übungsbühne für die „Akademie für Musik und darstellende Kunst“ dem Staat übergeben, der sich bei der Errichtung finanziell beteiligte. Die Eröffnung des Konzerthauses erfolgte am 19. Oktober 1913 und die der Übungsbühne (Akademietheater) am 4. Februar 1914 mit Giuseppe Verdis Ein Maskenball. Seit 8. September 1922 dient es dem Burgtheater als Zweigstelle. |
