Description
English: Vishu is a Hindu festival that celebrates the Malayali New Year and is observed in Kerala, India. It is celebrated on the first day of the month of Medam in the Malayalam calendar, which usually falls in mid-April. The festival is marked by preparing colourful auspicious items and viewing these as the first thing on the Vishu day (Vishukkani).
