Description

Presidente Sebastian Piñera y ministra Consuelo Valdés asisten a velatorio de Vicente Bianchi en el Teatro Municipal. Vicente Bianchi Alarcón (Ñuñoa, 27 de enero de 1920-24 de septiembre de 2018)1​ fue un destacado compositor, pianista y director de orquesta y coros y radiodifusor chileno. Obtuvo el Premio Nacional de Artes Musicales de Chile en 2016.

Su obra destaca por llevar a la música los poemas de Pablo Neruda, la musicalización de misas y eventos litúrgicos, como la Misa a la chilena (compuesta en 1964 y estrenada en 1965) y el Te Deum (1970-2000), arreglos orquestales, como Música para la historia de Chile y Canto a Bernardo O’Higgins, y arreglos para películas, entre otras.
