Description
English: Super band Marine Band San Diego practices John Phillip Sousa tunes on Shepherd Memorial Drill Field recently. More than 100 musical Marines throughout the Western Recruiting Region gathered Monday in Pasadena, Calif., with floats and bands at the rain-soaked 2006 Rose Parade. Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Marine Force Reserve New Orleans, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and Marine Air Ground Task Force Twentynine Palms marched as a single unit through the streets while crowds of people cheered them on. Practicing five to six hours a day, Marine Band San Diego was prepared on game day.
