English: Concert
Shohat meets Ptashka: Classical meets Jazz Daniel Pearl World Music Days Event The U.S. Embassy organized a concert in memory of Daniel Pearl, an American journalist and musician, kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in 2002. Two outstanding Israeli pianists, Gil Shohat and Leonid Ptashka, performed together, each bringing his own style and interpretation of classical and jazz pieces. The concert was held at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art on October 17, 2010 and featured the World premiere of “Yzkor” composed by Gil Shohat in memory of Daniel Pearl. The concert was offered as a gift of the U.S Embassy to the city of Tel Aviv-Yaffo. Photo Credit: Matty Sterm U.S. Embassy Tel Aviv |
