Description

Declarado Monumento Histórico Artístico, se sitúa sobre el río Arnoia, siendo una de las pocas construcciones romanas que no ha sufrido modificaciones posteriores. Se trata de una construcción de entre los siglos II y III, que probablemente pertenecía a un ramal de la Vía Romana XVIII de Itinerario de Antonino de Braga a Astorga, situado cerca del importante castro de Castromao.

De 57m. de largo y 8m. de altura máxima, consta de cuatro arcos de medio punto que cuentan con machones sobre pilastras para resistir la corriente del río. Destacan los almohadillados de los sillares, típico de las construcciones romanas.
