Parasnath Udhyan  Location and connectivity – It is located at Keshalpur village. Keshalpur is a Village in Baghmara Block in Dhanbad District of Jharkhand State, India. It is located 14 KM towards west from District head quarters Dhanbad. 5 KM from Baghmara. 133 KM from State capital Ranchi. Keshalpur Pin code is 828113 and postal head office is Katrasgarh. Bhadrichak ( 3 KM ) , Phatamahul ( 3 KM ) , Jamua ( 4 KM ) , Sendra ( 5 KM ) , Dhangi ( 5 KM ) are the nearby Villages to Keshalpur. Keshalpur is surrounded by Dhanbad Block towards East Topchanchi Block towards North , Jharia Block towards East , Govindpur Block towards East. Dhanbad , Gomoh , Chandrapura , Bokaro Steel City are the nearby Cities to Keshalpur. Google Location - 23°48'44.4"N 86°18'34.4"E It is well connected through village Road from Katras Bazar (2 KM) and Tetulmari (4 KM). Nearest Railway station is katrasgarh (3 KM) and tetulmari (5 KM).  History of Mining- It is located in Amalgamated Keshalpur west mudidih colliery of Katras Area, BCCL. It falls in Jharia Coal field. The history of Jharia Coal field was started since nineteenth century. The only energy source during those years, the mining was carried out through manual and semi-manual methods resulting into large scale degradation of land, forests and environment. The unscientific mining resulted into large scale mine-fires, subsidence and land degradation. The mines of Jharia Coalfields were taken over by BCCL in 1972 from the erstwhile private mine owners. Most of the mines had their history from pre-nationalization period. Status of Coal Seams- III seam, II top & II bottom coal seam are available. All seams have been developed/partially developed through underground mining operation.

 Present status of the selected site- Parasnath udhyan is developed in 3.5 Ha areas. The said site was started on 5th June 2015. Approx 3000 tress have been grown up at the site. Approach road have been made through locking tiles all inside the park for assessing the entire area of park. Few swings have been installed at site for children. A water body has been created inside the park which also acts as water harvesting pond as it can collect the wet water from maximum catchment area of park. Several benches and shades have also been made. Nowadays approx 200-300 people’s daily visit the park.
