15 Lower Sherbourne was bought by developers who owned the rest of the block in mid 2012. For the previous 20 year the building was more or less as you see it here.
A rather ugly black building was built where this crane is. For decades a four story warehouse or factory space that had been converted to a U-store-em sat there.
This condo at the NE corner of Princess Street and The Esplanade is 110 meters east of 15 Sherbourne Street. It is about the same height as the podium planned for the new development. But the new building will have two towers sprouting from it, each about 30 storeys tall.
The block from Front Street to The Esplanade is 140 meters long. There is an Acura dealership's parking lot on the corner, and a municipal parking lot in the middle of the block.
This building on the NE corner of King and Sherbourne has preserved the facade of a three story classy bank building, with modern apartments on top.
