Description
English: Hausten Tower in the abandoned village of Haustenbeck (belonging to Schlangen, District of Lippe, North Rhine-Westphalia), at what is now the British Army Sennelager Training Area; a military training facility near Sennelager, Germany. The tower was erected in 1941 by the German Army for surveying the military exercises in that area.
Deutsch: Haustenturm auf dem Gebiet des unter britischer Verwaltung stehenden Truppenübungsplatzes Senne. Der 1941 erbaute Turm liegt auf dem Gebiet des Ortsteils Oesterholz-Haustenbeck der Gemeinde Schlangen, Kreis Lippe, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Der nach dem geräumten Dorf Haustenbeck benannte Turm dient der Beobachtung der militärischen Übungstätigkeit auf dem Truppenübungsplatz und wurde dem Turm von St. Kilian in Büren-Brenken nachempfunden.
