Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Lychgate at the Old Churchyard in The Bourne, Farnham, Surrey. View from the inside. The lychgate was erected in 1888 with the financial support of Miss M. A. Sidebotham (1833–1913}, sister of the first vicar of St Thomas-on-The Bourne, whose Children's Hymnbook published in 1881 had been a best seller. The roof of the lychgate was repaired in 2009, and new paving laid down in December 2018 in commemoration of local historian Wendy Maddox (d. 22 April 2018).
