Summary
[edit]DescriptionKingfishers Bridge - geograph.org.uk - 603697.jpg |
English: Kingfishers Bridge A privately created new wetland. Since 1995, 150 acres of arable land has been returned to wetland. This is the view of the wader scrape, currently dry - not sure whether this is to allow management work or a deliberate method to keep it productive (recently flooded fields sometimes appear to provide better feeding than established wetlands). The pale patches are gravel which will form islands when the area is flooded, ideal for nesting waders such as Little Ringed Plover. See http://www.kfbweb.info/index.html |
