English: Commemorative plaque to Mrs. Sára Karig (1914–1999) Hungarian poet, translator and literary editor, rescuer during the WWII, “Righteous Among the Nations”, political prisoner in the Soviet Union from 1947 to 1953. It was affixed to the front of the house where she lived and unveiled on August 31, 2024. Quote: “She was a true polymath and her life was a moral compass.” (Budapest District IV, Klára Street 39)
Français : Plaque commémorative à Mme Sára Karig (1914–1999) poétesse, traducteuse et éditeuse littéraire hongroise, sauveteuse pendant la deuxième guerre mondiale, « Juste parmi les nations », prisonnière politique en Union soviétique de 1947 à 1953. La plaque a été apposée sur le front de la maison où elle habitait et dévoilée le 31 août 2024. Citation : « Elle était une véritable polymathe et sa vie était une boussole morale ». (39, rue Klára, Budapest 4e arr.)
