| Description |
Deutsch: Richtungsbahnsteig Richtung Süden; seit dem 15. Januar 2021 verkehren hier für elf Monate als Folge von Brückenarbeiten an der Merseburger Straße und der Saalequerung keine Züge. Die Zugangsstelle wurde 1697 gebaut, die folgende in Halle-Neustadt 1967. Rätselhaft ist, warum man beim Neubau keine Inselbahnsteige angelegt hat. Beim Neubau ohne erforderliche Rücksicht wären die Kosten nicht oder nur unwesentlich höher gewesen. Inselbahnsteige sind jedoch für die Nutzer deutlich komfortabler, auch Gleiswechsel sind problemlos möglich, alles das war in den Sechzigern seit Jahrzehnten bekannt und bei der Berliner S-Bahn als praktischem Vorbild kann man das auch täglich sehen. Dazu kommt, dass von hier bis 2007 Züge in zwei Richtungen verkehrten. Gedankenlosigkeit darf es eigentlich nicht sein und unterbezahlt waren die Planer auch in den Sechzigern nicht. |
