Italiano: I SINDACI: "OGGI E' IL GIORNO DEL DOLORE E DEL LUTTO"

I nove Sindaci dell’Unione Comuni Modenesi Area Nord esprimono profondo cordoglio ai famigliari delle vittime dell’incendio al comando della sede della Polizia municipale di via Roma, a Mirandola. «Oggi è il giorno del lutto e del dolore e chiediamo a tutti di avere rispetto per una vicenda così drammatica per la nostra comunità», affermano i primi cittadini, che dalle 3 della mattina di martedì 21 maggio sono impegnati per l’emergenza.

Lo stabile, dove oltre alla sede della Polizia municipale si trovano alloggi di edilizia residenziale (in cui abitavano 21 persone) è stato dichiarato inagibile. «Stiamo lavorando per trovare al più presto una sistemazione a tutte le famiglie – afferma il Sindaco di Mirandola, Maino Benatti – e una nuova sede alla Polizia municipale».

«Sulla dinamica del gravissimo episodio, che presenta ancora molti lati oscuri – concludono i Sindaci – siamo in attesa dell’operato delle forze dell’ordine e della magistratura, che stanno indagando».

Nei Comuni dell’Unione (Camposanto, Cavezzo, Concordia sulla Secchia, Finale Emilia, Medolla, Mirandola, San Felice sul Panaro, San Possidonio e San Prospero) è stato proclamato, per mercoledì 22 maggio, il lutto cittadino, con bandiere a mezz’asta e un minuto di silenzio alle ore 12. In segno di lutto i Sindaci chiedono ai candidati di sospendere oggi (21 maggio) le iniziative elettorali.
