Description
English: From a Washington Post newspaper in 1953, this cartoon accurately depicts how the United States public viewed their national parks and the private interests that threatened them. The 1950's had a surge of outdoor tourism and the public sector pushed back against private intrests for the preservation of all national parks in the US.
