Postcard depicting the Wapato High and Junior High Schools

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Postcard showing the second Wapato high school, built in 1914, two years after the original which was then converted to a grade school. A. Lundstrom of Yakima was the architect. The junior high school, built in 1938 is on the left. Both of these buildings and the 1912 high school were demolished and replaced by play fields and an apartment complex after newer schools were constructed on the outskirts of town. A 1940 gymnasium, built shortly after this photo was taken, still stands and is used as an Alternative School.
