Description |
Français : Le décor part d’une étoile à 12 pointes et de 12 amandes. Le panneau, incomplet, est un fragment de meuble : chaire à prêcher (minbar) ou meuble de lecteurs de coran (kursi). L’emploi abondant de l’ivoire, au décor floral, souligne le luxe de cette commande pour une des fondations mamlukes où pouvait être prononcé le prêche du vendredi (Khutba). Ce fragment a été restauré grâce au mécénat de Frédéric Jousset |
