Fuligo septica (L.) F.H. Wigg. Image location: Yarrahapinni State Forest, North of Grassy Head, New South Wales, Australia No specimen saved. (too small) Cap about 2 mm. This bright yellow fungi with circular pileus and possibly a very fine dark brown stipe, but this could have been a fern stem.. When the stipe broke away a very soft sticky substance exuded from the underside of the cap. Area was rainforest and the fungi was amongst fern on a large flooded gum.
