Description
Español: Escudo de Armas de la Ciudad de Riobamba (Ecuador).La forma de este escudo es la española antigua, usada en época de la colonia. Lleva un cáliz de oro en el centro del campo hacia arriba con una Hostia elevada. A modo de Cruz de San Andrés van, en medio y detrás del cáliz, dos llaves cruzadas de San Pedro, y desde los dos lados altos del escudo bajan puestas en ángulo dos espadas desnudas, una por cada lado, que pasan respectivamente por los aros de las llaves y se clavan juntas las puntas en el frontal superior de la Cabeza del luterano muerto, la cual, queda a la puna baja del escudo como en el palo con el cáliz y la hostia. todo en campo de gules.
