Description

Statue af Statsminister Erik Eriksen, på Torvet i 5750 Ringe, DK

Kunstner: Udført af Robert Lund-Jensen (1915-2003) Malersvend, Elev hos Erik Cohrt, Odense, 1935-36, gik på Teknisk Skole på Frederiksberg 1942-43.

Mål: H: 245 cm Br: 157 cm Dybde: 57 cm

Beskrivelse: Statuen er udført i Bronze. Den står på en Granitsokkel i et Kvadratisk Blomsterbed. Den blev opsat i 1978 med støtte fra forskellige Fonde og forestiller tidligere Statsminister Erik Eriksen (1902-72). Han var Statsminister 1950-53 og stod fadder til Grundlovsændringen 5. juni 1953. Afsløringen af Statuen var bl.a. med Tale af Folketingets Formand Karl Skytte og Musik med Slesvigske Fodregiments Musikkorps. Inskriptionen på Soklens fire sider lyder: Statsminister Erik Eriksen 1902-1972/Gennemførte/Grundlovens/Ændring 1953.

Statuen blev flyttet til sin nuværende plads i 1994.
