Description

Opened 1863 serving the then Metropolitan Railway between Paddington and Farringdon, the world's first underground railway. Rebuilt in 1928 by Charles Clark (1885–1972), clad in white faience with company and station name in raised lettering along frieze. City of Westminster, London.
