Object history
Deutsch: Walpertskirchen, die Eigenkirche eines Wolfprechts, ist bereits 748 erstmals urkundlich belegt. Die rote Krone ist dem Freisinger Hochstiftswappen entnommen, das einen rot bekrönten Mohrenkopf zeigt. Sie verweist auf die engen kirchlichen und grundherrschaftlichen Verbindungen zum Hochstift Freising und dessen Kollegiatstift Isen. Der rote Sparren aus dem Wappen der Familie Türndl erinnert daran, dass diese Familie im 15. und 16. Jahrhundert den Edelsitz in Deuting innehatte. Der Wellenbalken soll die geografische Lage der Gemeinde im Erdinger Hügelland symbolisieren.
