Object history Das sechsspeichige silberne Rad auf rotem Grund erinnert an die Jahrhunderte lange politische und kirchliche Zugehörigkeit zum Erzstift Mainz. Der rote Adler sagt uns, dass das Eichsfeld 1801/03 preußisch wurde und dass sein Wappen von 1817 bis 1873 im preußischen Wappen vertreten war.
