Description
Русский: Равнина Жары на Меркурии. Мозаика из снимков «Мессенджера», сделанных при низком Солнце, благодаря чему хорошо видно рельеф. Уровни яркости оригинального изображения изменены с [0 255] на [0 155].
English: Caloris Planitia on Mercury. Mosaic of images, made by MESSENGER. Low elevation of the Sun makes the relief nicely visible. Brightness of original image was increased. Description from Messenger site: This image is a portion of the MDIS global mosaic basemap that was acquired during MESSENGER's first year in orbit. Caloris basin, the largest young impact basin on Mercury, dominates the scene. With an east-west diameter of 1,550 km, Caloris hosts a wide variety of tectonic features, including graben, ridges, and Pantheon Fossae
