English: Brixton Overground Station I am standing on the southbound platform. The bridge ahead carries northbound trains off the Catford Loop Line.
The 1:25000 Get-a-Map for TQ3175 Brixton is actually incorrect. This Station is correctly positioned E/W but is shown on the left fork when it actually on the right fork so it is showing as too far north. The 1:50000 is OK. Google Maps is also incorrect -- there is a 1 mile section of railway (the section you see here) between Brixton and Herne Hill that is simply missing. It's clearly shown on the satellite picture but not on the map. Lots of people would certainly notice if this bit of track was missing in real life -- it is the main line from Victoria to the Kent Coast. |
