Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde der Gemeinde von der Salzburger Landesregierung am 17. September 1976 verliehen. Es ist ein sogenanntes "redendes Wappen": Es wird durch die Brücke über die Salzach der Name des Ortes ausgedrückt und die Verbindung mit dem Ortsteil St. Georgen wird durch die symbolisierte Berggruppe der "Drei Brüder" verdeutlicht.
English: The arms were officially granted on September 17, 1976. The arms show a canting bridge (Brücke) across the Salzach river. The triple mountain symbolise the three mountain peaks of the "Drei Brüder".
