Summary
[edit]Description18th-century Old Post Office, Nuthurst West Sussex England 1.jpg |
English: An 18th-century house, previously a post office, and Grade II listed as 'The Old Post Office', on Nuthurst Street in the village of Nuthurst, West Sussex, England. According to local knowledge, this is the building that many years ago was watched over from a window in the Black Horse Inn pub, opposite, by a man whose wife visited her lover, the postmaster, whom he subsequently murdered and buried in St Leonard's Forest. The spirit of the murderer has since haunted the pub's window table, apparently still watching over this house for the appearance of his wife. His presence is known by people observing pints of beer and other objects sliding across tables in the same position without human agency: see 'Haunted table' of The Black Horse Inn Software: RAW file lens-corrected, optimized and converted to JPEG with DxO OpticsPro 10 Elite, and likely further optimized and/or cropped and/or spun with Adobe Photoshop CS2. |

Notes
[edit]This image might have been cropped to improve composition and/or optimized for white and colour balance and contrast. Please do not upload a modified image without consultation. Images are often JPEGs derived from RAW file format, and reprocessing JPEG files reduces quality. If you believe changes are required, and through discussion this appears appropriate, the author can upload an ammended substitute from the original source, thus maintaining quality. Need a file for hard copy publication?: Noise reduction, camera lens distortion correction, colour balance and sharpening workflow of camera-unsharpened RAW files have been judged through a calibrated HP Dreamcolor Z Display monitor. However, for print media this type of optimizing can often prove problematic depending on particular print output requirements. Where a RAW files exists, I can supply the original in native full size format for third party specific hard copy publication optimizing. Author contact: |
