English: No drawing of Robert Hooke seems to have survived. This one is reconstructed from contemporary descriptions by two close friends – John Aubrey and Richard Waller. Note the popping eyes, thin face and nose, sharp chin and small mouth with a thin upper lip, also a highly intelligent appearance.
