Copyrighted. See en:Template talk:PD-USGov-DOE and the CENDI Copyright FAQ, section 4.0. Furthermore, the permission is of the "encyclopedia-only" type. Delete Lupo 06:45, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

- Contact Sandia, explain the scope of Commons-compliable licenses, and ask if any of them applies for their image galleries in toto or this image in particular. Proceed from there. ~ trialsanderrors 07:04, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- User:Brian0918 has already contacted Sandia. see [1] and [2] (need to be an en admin to see). Talk to Brian0918 first. --Duk 07:19, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't contact Sandia -- I worked at Sandia. Nobody there is a federal employee, and Sandia is a company (part of Lockheed Martin), not a government department. They do contract work for the government, but that doesn't mean that their work is thus PD. The copyright notice on their site makes it clear that they are not only able to assert a copyright, but that they are asserting it. --Brian0918 12:08, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
