- Keep - Not valid reason for deletion. --FSHL 21:16, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- Delete - I thought this counted as a derivative work of the software? --|EPO| da: 08:11, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Comment to |EPO| - This is still an image and definitively not a copy of the software... --FSHL 11:04, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- I am fully aware of that. But if I take a photograph of something copyrighted it will most likely be considered a derivative work and thus not allowed on Commons. --|EPO| da: 11:08, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Comment to |EPO| - I just can see a standard text, standard icons and a standard cellular – surely nothing of that’s protected... --FSHL 12:46, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Just because it is standard it is not the same as it is not protected. The text and icons generated on the display are a result of a protected software. --|EPO| da: 13:36, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Comment to |EPO| - Nobody denies that the software isn’t protected - the question is whether the rest is protected... --FSHL 14:04, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- I think this is more of a PD ineligible. Wouldn't it be better for us to create a "fake" cellphone text msg in SVG format? -- Cat chi? 09:42, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
deleted derivative work difficulty and no author (photographer) explicitly stated. @White Cat: I think that’s a nice idea. --Polarlys 00:14, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
