Replacable {{CopyrightByWikimedia}} image ViperSnake151 (talk) 17:28, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- It contains other non-free logos, too: Firefox and Google. --AVRS (talk) 20:20, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- It's also on Windows, and if it were taken as fair use, it would be replacable fair use, since the Droste cover also used to illustrate this effect, is PD. ViperSnake151 (talk) 21:20, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- Well, it´s not as if I did not see this discussion coming... And I started a discussion on sw.wp jsut because I guessed the image was trouble because of some reasons; 1. It contains wp-logo material, 2. it contains MS Windows interface parts, 3. It contains Mz Firefox parts, 4. It contains Droste-logo.
- But then I learned the following:
- 1. A wp screendump can be ok if http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Wikipedia-screenshot is used. Many dumps in http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Screenshots_of_various_Wikipedias use that template.
- 2. Animum´s view of the main page, among others, uses that template and is a windows screendump
- 3. The Firefox logo should perhaps be cropped away, even if it´s used on some screendumps, too.
- 4. The Drosteimage is free, som an image of it msut be free, too?
- 5. I did not think of the Google "logo", though.
- So, what do you say? Is it enough if I remove the Firefox and Google logos? What about Windows?
