Russian photo from 1941, author unknown, yet claimed to be PD-old. There's no proof for that, the file should be deleted per the precautionary principle. Rosenzweig τ 23:59, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This Finnish photo. Photo taken by an unknown author in 1941, the Finnish front. --Valeriy10f (talk) 17:22, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
How do you know the author was Finnish if he is unknown? --Rosenzweig τ 18:02, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So the picture is made by Finnish, not Soviet side front. There are more pictures where are visible the Finnish soldiers and Finnish photographer makes pictures. --Valeriy10f (talk) 21:00, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So essentially you don't know he was Finnish, you only assume it. --Rosenzweig τ 21:40, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Сompare for yourself: http://beloostrov.ru/forum/files/19091941_507.jpg - the Finnish side front. http://beloostrov.info/foto_old_beloostrov2.html - the Finnish side front. --Valeriy10f (talk) 22:20, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That a photographer was on one side or the other of a frontline is not sufficient proof of nationality. --Rosenzweig τ 13:45, 16 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The book stated that this photograph taken from the free archives the Finnish of the site http://sa-kuva.fi/. This site states that:

«The downloadable photographs from the Wartime Photograph Archive can be used by anyone. When you publish a photograph from the archive, mention "SA-kuva" as the source. You may not use the photographs to mislead people. You may not use the photographs for unlawful or inappropriate purposes.» --Valeriy10f (talk) 22:19, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That is not really relevant for us, because that website is not the creator of the images and does not appear to hold any rights to them. At least they don't mention anything about that. --Rosenzweig τ 11:37, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well, then I don't know how to do better, but that's exactly the picture of Finnish.--Valeriy10f (talk) 01:16, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Keep The archive page credits this image to Ensign (Vänrikki) P. Myllymäki who was obviously a member of the Finnish defence forces [1]. De728631 (talk) 15:02, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
