File:KL plate number from Mercedes C200 CDI.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
Copyright status: File:Comet-1-saa-boac.jpg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Comet-1-saa-boac.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Copyright violations
Hello EurovisionNim.
You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful. This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions. |

Self-requested speedy deletion requests
Hi EurovisionNim, hope you're well. I noticed that you've been posting speedy deletion requests to COM:AN. Please don't do this; the admin's noticeboard is for important matters requiring immediate attention. In the future, please use the {{speedy}} tag to request the deletion of files you've uploaded. Alternatively, you may post requests directly to my talk page and I will be happy to fulfill them for you. Let me know if you have any questions. Regards, FASTILY 18:53, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
- Do not use the speedy tag if your upload is 7+ days old. See COM:CSD#G7 and the rest of that page. FDMS 4 19:36, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Unblock requests
EurovisionNim 09:36, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
- You were unaware that calling me a "gay cunt" was unacceptable? Yeah, right! You didn't mean to swear? So are you saying your fingers typed it accidentally? Incidentally, Commons is not your personal cloud storage for random car photos. Neither is it acceptable to upload photos then arbitrarily decide that you want to delete them just because it suits you or you've lost interest in it. When you upload images you do so with a permanent free license, ie permanent. ie forever, ie you can't change your mind later. Your opinion of what is " low quality" is irrelevant and is not a valid reason for deletion. Neither is you changing your mind. Also, how do you know that a picture is unused? Just because it's not used on a wiki does not mean that it is unused. Websites all over the world directly link to images on Commons yet they will not show up on the "Global Usage" list.
- You are running all over Commons, being disruptive and wasting admin's time with your unacceptable requests and behaviour, I'm just amazed that this is only a month's block and not a permanent one. You have been told time and time again what you can, can't or shouldn't do yet you keep repeating it, ad nauseum. A serious, not meant to be insulting, question, do you have learning difficulties? As to an outside observer that's what it appears like. Clearing that up could be beneficial to the way you are treated by others here. --Fred the Oyster (talk) 10:19, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
- Also, I've told you to include a link to your userpage/usertalk/contribs in your signature. Apparently, you I've ignored that as well. FDMS 4 14:29, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
Anyway Fred the Oyster I'm very sorry. I only was annoyed because you were actually being rude to me so I did not have a choice because you were annoying me and that I cannot stand you being rude to me. I have known to be ok but I did write it however I am really sorry what happened and I promise this won't happen again so please forgive me and unblock me. EurovisionNim 00:50, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
- I wasn't rude to you, I wasn't even talking to you. I was discussing your disruptive behaviour and possible reasons for it. Just because you didn't like what I was saying does not make it rude, or even unacceptable. At the moment your behaviour is so bizarre it makes sensible (and cynical) people think you are trolling. If you don't like your behaviour being discussed then I suggest you modify it to a way that isn't so bizarre, and that you listen to what is being told you. So far you have ignored all instructions whether it be about deletions, your signature, your behaviour etc. The admins here will not let disruptive behaviour like that continue, and it's pretty clear that you have no intention of changing. That doesn't bode well for your long-term usership here. Oh, and by-the-way. Don't even consider using EurovisionNim2 (talk · contribs) to get round your block as that will just result in your block becoming permanent, instantly. So go do something useful/enjoyable for a month and come back with a different attitude and a desire to follow the rules here and not try to do things your way. If you can't keep away then I suggest you spend the time reading everything you can about acceptable behaviour and how things work here...not to mention what uploading and licensing actually means. And just for the record, I'm neither gay nor a cunt, I am however a mouthy smartass. --Fred the Oyster (talk) 01:44, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
Ok Fred the Oyster,
I am very sorry. I know this behaviour is unacceptable. I only wanted two files deleted because both were not used and then I accidentally uploaded pictures of two people cars and I spoke to the person who owns the 1EIQ 225 car that he requested it removed so I had no choice but to request the file to be deleted. I promise on gods oath that if User:Steinsplitter unblocks me, I will promise not to play with the deletion requests or swear at any user again EurovisionNim 02:08, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
Hello,
- Hi Nim
- There is no need to make unblock requests again and again. What you really do is to convince a watching admin that you now understand the licensing terms and applicable policies here. You can find a copy of the most used license here. (Version 3.0 is enough; but 4.0 is written in a better to understand language.) You can find the answers of many questions that may pop up in your mind here. Commons:FAQ is another place to read and learn. You can find the links to all of our policies and guidelines here.
- Stay calm, and read these pages first. My understanding, from reading your comments above, is that some of the car owners are not happy to host the pictures of their cars here. Please read Commons:Non-copyright restrictions. There are some third party rights which legally prevent us from photographing/publishing. There are some areas where no legal issues; but we need to make conclusions based on our ethical point of view. But remember that it is difficult to get a work deleted from here unless there is a strong legal reason. So take time, read, and make wise decisions before uploading here.
- You can ask questions here in case of any further doubts. Jee 03:21, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hey Jeevan,
Thankyou for helping me. I cannot seem to email any administrators so if you can do it that would be totally appreciated EurovisionNim 08:21, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
- No need; as involved admins are watching this page. Moreover, you can ping anybody by typing their user name (eg: Steinsplitter) Not that they already complained at ANU that you are sending useless emails. That is why they revoked your email access. Stay calm and try to learn from the links I provided. Your hesitation and hasty moves indicates you are still very learning stage. That's OK and Wikimedia encourages youngsters. But you need to learn how to be calm and wait. Jee 08:54, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

File tagging File:Methodist Ladies College Sri Lanka.JPG
This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Methodist Ladies College Sri Lanka.JPG. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT ([email protected]). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Methodist Ladies College Sri Lanka.JPG]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |
