Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]][[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Raderstoomboot De Majesteit
editBeste Bezeh, Bedankt voor het herstellen van deze erg slordige fout van mijn kant. Kennelijk veel te vlug willen zijn, want ik weet dat het niets met radar te maken heeft. Plus dat werd in 1926 denk ik nog niet echt toegepast op boten. want in 1904 heeft Duitser Christian Hülsmeyer de radar uitgevonden en moest nog eerst verder ontwikkeld worden. Maar bij je tweede verandering die u heeft gedaan daar staat deze opmerking bijgevoegd "De Majesteit heeft raderen in plaats van een schroeg". Hier weet ik even geen raad mee, daar ik het na mijn mening niet over een schroeg of schroef heb gehad? Vr. gr. Antoine.01 (talk) 16:54, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Ik had in één keer willen schrijven over de schroeF, maar drukte iets te vroeg op de enter, en zag pas later dat het fout was... Nu heb ik mijn vinger bezeerd en met een verbandje (héél klein) gaat het typen nog slechter.. --Bezeh.nl (talk) 17:59, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Deze bezeerde vinger komt hopelijk toch niet door het type? Of heeft het te maken met de schroef van de boot (geintje). Hoop dat uw vinger zich weer snel zal herstellen zodat u weer gewoon kan type. O ja, bij het lemma waar ik gisteren de foto bij heb geplaatst daar had ik de fout niet gemaakt met radar. Wonderlijk dat ik het op de ene plek wel goed heb neergezet en op de andere plek niet? Maar nogmaals bedankt voor uw hulp hierin en een prettig weekend toegewenst, vr. gr.
