- Syntax
{{SimpleTaxa | rank | taxonRank1 | taxonName1 | taxonRank2 | taxonName2 ... | source=<WebSiteShortName> | knownextinct=yes | note=<note> | accessdate=<yyyy-mm-dd> }}
- Parameters
-
- rank
- the rank (singular latin) of the current taxon.
- Singular latin ranks should be used: Cladus, Domain, Regnum, Phylum, Divisio, Classis, Cohors, Ordo, Familia, Tribus, Genus, Sectio, Series, Species, Hybrid, Cultivar, Varietas
- For intermediate ranks, use the syntax without separator like subgenus and infraordo (not "sub-genus", nor "infra ordo")
- If you use incorrect ranks, the article/category will be shown in Category:Pages with incorrect biology template usage.
- Sample (for Zanclistius elevatus): species
- taxonRank1
- the rank of the parent taxon.
- Sample (for Zanclistius elevatus): genus or familia
- taxonName1
- the name of the parent taxon.
- Sample (for Zanclistius elevatus): Zanclistius or Pentacerotidae
- source=<WebSiteShortName> (optional)
- to display the source of this genus list. See {{Taxasource}} for the complete list of managed WebSiteShortName.
- Use
|name=<TaxonName>
with |source= to specify the taxon name if the current category/gallery name is not exactly the taxon name (In article "Vanda (Orchidaceae)" use name=Vanda) Use(DEPRECATED: <WebSiteShortName> can contain multiple sources separated by &)|source2=<WebSiteShortName2>
to provide additional sources- Use
|ref=<reference>
if your source is not managed by {{Taxasource}}
- extinct=yes (optional)
- if this taxon is extinct.
- knownextinct=yes (optional)
- if there are other known extinct members.
- contrarysource=<WebSiteShortName> (optional)
- to display a source that disagrees.
- note=<note> (optional)
- to add additional information about unicity
- accessdate=<yyyy-mm-dd> (optional)
- to specify when this information has been retrieved from the source(s).
