Description
English: Youth using an oinochoe (wine jug, in his right hand) to draw wine from a crater, in order to fill a kylix (shallow cup, in his left hand). His garland crown and his nudity show that he is serving as cup-bearer in a symposium, or banquet. Kalos inscription. Tondo of an Attic red-figure cup, ca. 520-510 BC.
Français : Jeune homme utilisant une œnochoé (cruche à vin, main droite) pour puiser le vin d'un cratère et remplir son kylix (coupe, main gauche). Sa couronne de guirlandes et sa nudité montrent qu'il sert d'échanson dans un symposium (banquet). Inscription kalos. Intérieur d'une coupe attique à figures rouges, v. 520-510 av. J.-C.
