Svenska: Vänersborgs kommunvapen sedan 1942. Tidigare fört av Vänersborgs stad.
Blasonering: I blått fält en bojort av guld med beslagna segel, flytande på en av en vågskura bildad blå stam av silver. Bojorten har en naturfärgad svensk flagga på masttoppen och en i aktern.
