English: Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment) Airman Brad Thomas displays a grease pencil Valentine's Day message to his girlfriend on the back of an aircraft weight board before launching aircraft from the bow catapults on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Carl Vinson and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17 are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
