Description
English: The world-famous Bastei, a rock formation in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains within the Saxon Switzerland National Park. This part of the National Park belongs to Lohmen, Landkreis Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge, Saxony, Germany. The rocks on the left half of the picture form the former Felsenburg Neurathen. Picture taken from the Ferdinandstein viewpoint.
Deutsch: Die weltberühmte Bastei, eine Felsformation des Elbsandsteingebirges im Nationalpark Sächsische Schweiz. Dieser Teil des Nationalparks gehört zum Gebiet der Gemeinde Lohmen, Landkreis Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge, Sachsen, Deutschland. Auf den Felsen in der linken Bildhälfte befand sich früher die Felsenburg Neurathen, jetzt ein Freilichtmuseum. Die Aufnahme entstand vom Aussichtspunkt Ferdinandstein aus.
