Description
English: Northbound Florida State Road 231 (Southwest Sixth Avenue) as it approaches the intersection with Florida State Road 238 (Southwest Second Street) in Lake Butler in Union County, Florida. The directional sign up ahead tells motorists that if they turn left at this route it will take them to the barely existing community of Providence, Florida.
NOTE; FEBRUARY 14, 2023; This sign is just north of the former railroad crossing for the abandoned Jacksonville and Southwestern Railroad, which was eventually acquired by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, and shared the local railroad station with the Georgia Southern and Florida Railway, now the western terminus of the Palatka-Lake Butler State Trail.
