Português: Senado preserva os livros que registram posses presidenciais desde 1891. Ao assinar o livro, o presidente eleito assume o compromisso de governar o país e defender a Constituição, dando prosseguimento à linha do tempo que vem sendo traçada desde 26 de fevereiro de 1891. O acesso aos dois volumes é restrito com o intuito de resguardar o patrimônio.Os documentos ficam guardados no Arquivo do Senado, em uma sala com temperatura, umidade e luminosidade submetidas a parâmetros rigorosos.
