English: In front of the Metropolitan Municipality Building that faces Konak Square there is a monument for a journalist, Hasan Tahsin. He shot the first bullet at the Greeks advancing in Konak Square of Izmir on May 15, 1919, and was killed in the same place. The first Bullet Monument was designed by architect Harmi Hotan and monument sculptor Turgut Pura and ready in 1974. |
