Bijeenkomst Moral Injury.

Moral injury is een gevolg van een indringende ervaring in het persoonlijke leven van een mens waarbij zijn of haar opvattingen over waarheid, rechtvaardigheid en schoonheid aan het kantelen worden gebracht en gaan verschuiven. In feite gaat het om een geschokt vertrouwen door zelf te handelen of juist niet te handelen en waar te nemen. Een veel voorkomend gevolg van een Moral injury is schuld en schaamte. De term is eind jaren tachtig, begin jaren negentig van de vorige eeuw in de Verenigde Staten ontstaan vanuit de ervaringen met onder meer Vietnamveteranen.
